notes:Lectotype designated by Wood, S. L. 1973c: 187; Eichhoff listed this species that was misidentified as ÒXyleborus pini Say??Ó ; subsequent writers followed Eichhoff's example, but the name pini Eichhoff was never validated [Say's species is now Ips pini]. Schedl 1952k: 163-164 confirmed the synonymy but continued to use the Eichhoff nomen nudum; Schedl 1979c: 195 reported the [invalid] ÒholotypeÓ as in his collection
